Port Glasgow

The Port Glasgow Community Campus, which is home to four separate schools and nursery groups is the first of its kind in Scotland. The schools are linked through a shared ‘agora’, or social hub, but have their own separate entrances, foyers and teaching areas. Naturally, this has resulted in a very large and combined roof area, so an effective rainwater management system was essential.

The RainPulse rainwater management system has several operational advantages such as reducing outlet numbers, reducing rainwater pipes, reducing ground works and reducing the requirement for massive gutters to hold additional capacity.

The campus utilises a total of 115 RainPulse outlets compared to the 312 gravity fed outlets that would have been required. The project was installed by one of our key clients at the time.
