The striking new Linwood Community Sports Centre in Renfrewshire, designed by Edinburgh based architects Cre8, is to play a pivotal role in the regeneration of the Linwood area. The building was completed in 2013 and utilises CGL’s RainPulse drainage system in its construction, which requires just 31 RainPulse outlets, as opposed to the 73 units that would have been necessitated by a traditional gravity fed system.
The RainPulse rainwater management system has a number of operational advantages; it greatly reduces the number of outlets, downpipes and ground works required and cuts the installation time by half. The result is improved roof-to-ground drainage performance whilst still managing to achieve a less cluttered aesthetic.
